Tiger Woods was drinking before he wrecked his SUV two weeks ago, a witness told a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) trooper.

That witness was the same person who pulled Woods from his damaged truck, a document released on Monday states.

Elin Nordegren Woods, Tiger Woods' wife, told Windermere police that she dragged the injured golfer from his Cadillac Escalade about 2.25am on November 27 with the help of a golf club.

John Gribbins, A British university professor, has become an unlikely best-seller after his book, Get a Grip on Physics, was photographed in the wreckage of Tiger Woods's crashed car.

Dr Gribbins book was published in 2003 and despite being out of print for the last four years has shot up the Amazon sales rankings from 396,224th place to 2,268th with second-hand copies fetching £45 pounds.

The book, which describes the basics of physics in simple terms, was seen in the back seat of Woods's Cadillac surrounded by shards of broken glass in a picture taken by the Florida Highway Patrol.
