Post Snow Storm Hits US East Coast

Latest News Update: Feb. 15, 2010

Fierce winds whipped through Washington announcing a blizzard that is expected to bring 12 more inches to the already snow covered city.
The second major snowstorm to hit the east coast in less than a week, forced federal and local government agencies to close. The storm comes as residents were still trying to dig out from weekend snowfalls of 18 to 32 inches from Washington to southern New Jersey. Some struggled to restock refrigerators and clear fallen trees ahead of the new storm. Schools were closed across much of the region, and many canceled classes for the rest of the week. Cities across the Northeast ground to a halt as the National Weather Service predicted blizzard conditions up the coast with up to 16 inches in New York City, up to 22 inches in Philadelphia and 12 inches in Washington . Hundreds of flights were canceled in the three cities and airlines relaxed ticket policies to allow passengers to change their plans without penalty, moves that could cloud the outlook for an industry already hard hit by the battered economy. Three hours from Washington , in Williamsburg, Virginia, a highway was closed for hours as crews worked to clear a 50-vehicle accident scene. Only seven people were transferred to hospital with minor injuries.

Default Why do people always act like communism is the greatest evil and bans free thought?

I notice people act like communism is the most evil thing that ever existed and bans freedom. But if you read the Communist Manifesto, you will discover that all Communism is is an economic system. It doesn't necessarily ban freedom.

The men who created Communism even believed men should be freed to do they anything they want so long as they don't harm and exploit others!
Like other socialists, Marx and Engels sought an end to capitalism and the systems which they perceived to be responsible for the exploitation of workers. But whereas earlier socialists often favored longer-term social reform, Marx and Engels believed that popular revolution was all but inevitable, and the only path to socialism and communism.

According to the Marxist argument for communism, the main characteristic of human life in class society is alienation; and communism is desirable because it entails the full realization of human freedom.[6] Marx here follows Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel in conceiving freedom not merely as an absence of restraints but as action with content.According to Marx, Communism's outlook on freedom was based on an agent, obstacle, and goal. The agent is the common working people; the obstacles are class divisions, economic inequalities, unequal life-chances, and false consciousness; and the goal is the fulfillment of human needs including satisfying work, and fair share of the product.

They believed that communism allowed people to do what they want, but also put humans in such conditions and such relations with one another that they would not wish to exploit, or have any need to. Whereas for Hegel the unfolding of this ethical life in history is mainly driven by the realm of ideas, for Marx, communism emerged from material forces, particularly the development of the means of production.

You see communism is an economic system, not an evil philosophy that bans freedom and free thought. In fact most of the so- called Communist nations that existed such as the USSR were never TRULY COMMUNIST BUT MORE LIKE TOTOLATARIAN REGIMES rule by corrupt dicatatorships!

Default Is my Goose Egg still Alive? HEPP ME...AGAIN?

Hello, i've asked many questions similar to this and I have never gotten a strait answer. Ok I have some goose eggs, about 12 days old. They seem to be doing fine, I don't think they have died but I am not completely sure they are alive and kicking. I candled them and I do see veins in all of them' some of the eggs seem to slosh very little when gently shaken. There are a lot of veins in the dark mass that take up about 2 3 of the egg but in the area that is not covered by the dark mass does not have many veins at all (maybe even none). There probably is but I don't have a good flashlight to candle them...are there any other methods to tell if they are still alive? Their air pocket seems to be growing and they seem a tad bit lighter...i think or I'm just imagining things(hopefully not).

PLese tell me if there are any other ways to test if the egg is still alive...links do help but personal experience is the best because i have had problems with my other pets and links do not halp as much as other people who are going though the same thing

PERSONAL EXPERIANCE NEEDED

IS MY EGG STILL ALIVE?
ARE THERE ANY OTHER WAYS TO TELL IS THEY ARE STILL ALIVE BESIDES CANDLING

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
